Posting validation error: The cobroke commission cannot be set for this property (In House)

This error occurs when an InHouse transaction has a Cobroke commission in the Properties > Commission screen.

What to check:

  1. Click Properties menu
  2. Click search button to locate property
  3. Go to the History submenu
  4. Check if there is cobroke information entered
    • Use the field name column to filter the search

Fix:

  1. Click Commission submenu
  2. Uncheck the our buyer box to display the cobroke commission fields
  1. Remove the information for the cobroke commission: % and $ amount
  2. Click save
  1. Under the cobroke commission section, click the Cobroke office
  2. Click the delete button
  1. Click yes to confirm

Then go back to the cobroke commission section and repeat the steps to remove the Cobroke Agent.

Re-enter the Sell side agent and the commission information:

  1. Click hyperlink next to sell agent
  2. Type a portion of the agent's name
  3. Click search
  4. Click to select the name of the agent
  1. Check the our buyer box
  2. Enter the selling commission % or $ amount
  3. Click save
  4. The adjusted sell commission will be filled in
Previous Article Transaction fee due to the company and $0 commission collected
Next Article Agent representing both sides and only collecting sell commission
