Objective
This enhancement corrects how the Company $ percentage is displayed when a deduction rule is configured as "Is Team Calculation." Previously, the system showed the team's percentage instead of the actual company percentage.
Commission calculations are not affected — only the displayed percentage value is updated.
What Changed
Before this fix:
- When a deduction rule was marked as "Is Team Calculation," the Company $ percentage displayed on Agent Net screens reflected the team structure percentage (e.g., 50%) rather than the actual configured split.
After this fix:
- The Agent Net List and Agent Net Sell screens will display the true company percentage based on the deduction rule's commission settings.
- Commission payouts and calculations continue to follow team-calculation logic — this change is display only.
| Example: Margaret Elis and Eric Meadows are on the same team with a combined total of $496,717.80, placing them in a 95/5 split. With this fix, the screens will now correctly show 5.00% (Company) and 95.00% (Agent) instead of the previous 50% display caused by the team structure override. |
How the Displayed Percentages Are Calculated
The displayed percentage depends on the Company Split Percentage setting configured on the deduction rule:
| Setting | Calculation | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Company Final % | Matches the "final split % used" on step 14 of the calculation | final split % used: 0.0500 → displays 5.00% |
| Agent Final % | Inverse of Company Final % (1 - company final %) | 1 - 0.0500 = 0.9500 → displays 95.00% |
| Company Overall % | Total Company $ ÷ (Gross Commission - Off the Top Deductions) across all levels crossed | Based on all levels the agent crossed in the transaction |
| Agent Overall % | Inverse of Company Overall % | 1 - Company Overall % |
Where to Find It
The updated Company % display appears in the Agent Net screens for any transaction where the deduction rule has "Is Team Calculation" enabled.
Navigation:
- Open a transaction.
- Navigate to the Agent Net List or Agent Net Sell screen.
- Locate the deduction rule configured with "Is Team Calculation."
- The Company $ column will now reflect the actual company percentage.
| 📝 Note: No setup or configuration changes are required. The fix applies automatically for all existing and future transactions. |
Setup Requirements
- No new fields, roles, or settings are introduced.
- No changes are needed for existing deduction rule configurations.
- Historical transactions will not be retroactively modified. If a user recalculates an existing transaction, the updated display logic will apply.
Important Notes
- Commission payouts are not affected. This is a display-only update. How commissions are calculated and distributed remains unchanged.
- Mixed commission structures (individual agent splits + team calculations) will display the true company percentage consistently.
- Incomplete team configurations will not cause incorrect values — the display no longer relies solely on team structure data.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why does the Company % look different from the team structure percentage? A: The displayed percentage now reflects the actual company split configured for the transaction. The commission payout may still be distributed according to team calculation rules, but the percentage shown is the true company split — not the team-derived value. |
Q: Did this change affect commission payouts? A: No. This update only affects how the percentage is displayed on the Agent Net screens. Commission calculations and distributions remain exactly the same. |
Q: Will historical transactions be updated automatically? A: No. Existing transactions will not be retroactively changed. However, if a user recalculates a transaction, the updated display logic will apply going forward. |
