Spotlight Structure/Layout
Spotlights consist of three sections
- Spotlight lists
- This is the drop down list on your spotlight dash board that lets your choose which spotlights to view
- Group List
- These are the groups that appear as tabs in the blue submenu
- Charts in the group
- The charts and KPIS that display under each group list
Take these steps to create a new one.
- Click the + button to the right spotlight list.
- Pop up box will appear. Enter the name for this spotlight list ex: (NCTest)
- It's optional; the user can click the box for agents so this spotlight will be available to add to agents.
- Click Save.
Create the group list(s) for to place your charts in :
5. Click the + button to the right of the group list.
6. Enter a name (TestProduction) for this group of charts.
7. Click save.
Create as many lists as you need by repeating steps 5, 6, and 7.
8. Make sure the group list is highlighted in blue. Click + button to the right of "charts in the group" to add charts and KPIs to this group list.
9. Drag any chart or KPI from the right panel on to the gray canvas on the right.
You can move and resize the charts to your preference by using drag and drop.
Use the name and/or category filters to find the charts and KPI's that best meet your needs
10. Click save.

You can copy existing spotlights and make slight adjustments to them to meet your business needs. Maybe a manager vs an owner spotlight where you want both the owners and mangers to have access to the same data with the exception of bank balances. You could create one Spotlight, copy it then add or remove items.
To copy a spotlight list, select the spotlight list and click the copy button above the spotlight list

Enter the name for the new copied spotlight. You can choose to include this spotlight for the same roles that had access to the original spotlight list by checking the include permissions checkbox. Click the copy button when finished
Now you can click the group list that you want to customize the charts (or KPIs) in the group
You could also add group lists by clicking the + to the right of the group list if you want additional tabs
Click the + to the right of charts in group to add/delete/resize/change the charts and KPI's in that group
Make any changes to the charts and KPIs then click save
Once you have the spotlight list the way you want remember to assign the spotlight to the roles that should have access to the spotlight
